I came across an interesting point about Mariel and Luis's case that I haven't seen discussed much. Has anyone else noticed how there was barely any media coverage when Lopez was reportedly seen on public transportation in Los Angeles? I find it really strange, especially with such a significant lead. Public transport is usually crawling with people, cameras, and potential witnesses. I wonder if any footage was ever reviewed or if the reports led to any new information that just wasn't shared with the public? Given how crucial those early sightings can be to a case, it's frustrating that we don't have more details to go on. If anyone here has insights or theories, it would be helpful to keep the discussion going and raise more awareness!

I was doing some research and came across an old article that mentioned how Mariel’s school reported that she had shown signs of distress leading up to her disappearance. It's really concerning that no one intervened sooner, especially given the history of instability with her father. I wonder if this could have been an early red flag that maybe people missed. It makes me think about how important it is for teachers and school staff to have resources or training to recognize signs of potential domestic issues. I keep hoping that someone remembers something or spots them somewhere so they can finally be brought back safely. Does anyone else know if there were any other missed warning signs or reports before their disappearance?

Has anyone else noticed the lack of media coverage on Mariel and Luis Encarnacion’s case over the years? I stumbled upon their story and it really got me thinking about how cases seem to just fade away without updates. It's been so long since 2011, and there's barely any information out there. I feel for the families who still have no answers. Does anyone have more recent information or know if there have been any efforts to bring more attention to their disappearance? Wondering how cases like these can get more coverage and hopefully lead to resolutions.
