Hey everyone, I've been following the Timmy Jaurice Moore case and wanted to bring up something that's been on my mind—community safety. It's so unnerving to think that something as devastating as this could happen near a family-friendly place like the Abernathy Ball Field. The fact that it happened in the middle of the day when there could have been kids playing baseball or families enjoying their weekend makes it even more unsettling. I can't stop thinking about the parents in the neighborhood who now have to explain to their children why there was all that commotion near their park. It's hard enough for adults to process such a tragedy, let alone kids who may have witnessed the aftermath or heard the gunshots. I hope that, moving forward, the community can rally together, not just to support Timmy’s family during this incomprehensible time but to create a dialogue on what can be done to prevent these kinds of events near places meant for family enjoyment and relaxation. Sending compassion to all who knew and loved Timmy, and hoping for justice and peace for everyone affected by this tragedy. Thanks for reading.
