Was anyone else relieved to hear about the quick arrest in Maria Canales' case? I can't begin to imagine the shock and fear those moments must have brought to her family and friends. With Fred Gause Jr. now in custody, I'm hoping the legal process will bring some measure of justice for Maria and the other victim still recovering. It’s unsettling how violence can so abruptly change the landscape of a community, especially in a peaceful neighborhood like Blythewood.
