Has anyone else been following the story of Kiran Patel's tragic murder? One thing that’s really struck me is how these crimes have impacted the Union community, especially since Kiran was such a beloved figure in the neighborhood. Her family must be going through unimaginable pain, and the fact that this horrific event took place at a location so central to the community just adds to the sense of loss. I read that the store, DD’s Food Mart, was not just a place for groceries but a space where people gathered and felt connected. It’s so distressing to think about how quickly a sense of safety can be shattered like this. I hope people in Union can come together and support each other during such a difficult time. My prayers are with Kiran’s family and the family of Charles Crosby. I can’t imagine the heartache they’re experiencing right now. How is everyone in Union coping with the aftermath of these events? Are there any local initiatives to support the victims' families?
