I’ve been following the case of Tyquan Jones-Alexander and it’s just devastating to see how gun violence has become such a norm for young teens in neighborhoods like Avondale. I can't imagine the deep pain his family must be going through—we’re talking about someone whose future was just beginning. Something that really troubles me is the lack of information about what actually transpired before the shooting. The way the police are handling communication seems critical. The fact that another victim showed up at a hospital around the same time feels like a major piece of the puzzle that can’t be overlooked. It’s a grim reminder of how vital it is for the community to step up and share whatever they know. Even the smallest bit of info could potentially help investigators connect the dots. My heart goes out to Tyquan’s family and the surrounding community. Here's hoping someone comes forward soon, and that it might help bring a sense of closure.
