I've been following this tragic case and noticed something that keeps haunting me: the ripple effect on the young ones involved. I can't get the image out of my head of those kids scattering into the woods in fear after the gunfire. It's hard enough to imagine what Nehemiah's family is going through, but the trauma isn't confined to them alone. Think about those kids—seeing their friend in such a situation, hearing shots, and having to run. I hope they get the support they need to process this. It's such a difficult reality for them to deal with at such a young age. We often focus on the legal side and the charges, but it's important to remember those indirect victims who also carry scars from that night.
