I’ve been following the case of Anthony Linton's tragic death, and it’s been really tough to process. I'm just thinking about the impact on the community, especially knowing this was the third criminal homicide in High Point this year. Even though it was said there wasn’t an active threat to the community at large, it’s still unsettling to think about how tensions might still be running high locally. Anthony deserved to feel safe walking around his neighborhood like anyone else. I hope the prompt arrest of Vincente Baker brings some reassurance to the community and, most importantly, to Anthony's loved ones. It's sad to think how their lives have been forever changed. A huge shoutout to the detectives and the Street Crimes Unit for working hard to bring some justice to this case. It’s critical that we remember to support each other and keep open those community lines of communication moving forward.
