Has anyone else been following the tragic murder case of Tamika Powell in Brooklyn? The details are absolutely devastating, and it’s impacted the whole Prospect Heights community intensely. One aspect that’s really haunting me is the fact that she had just moved back to the neighborhood she grew up in. I can’t imagine the mix of emotions her family must be feeling, dealing with the loss in a place that held so many memories for her. It’s chilling to think that the suspect allegedly followed her after just a simple argument at a barbecue. Such a senseless act. My heart really goes out to her two daughters and her mom.
