I was reading about the tragic case of Andre J. Johnson, and one thing that struck me was the speed at which the arrest and charges were made against Jadon T. Stumph. It’s reassuring to see swift action taken, but it also opens up so many questions about the factors leading up to that fateful night. It seems that everything happened so quickly, from the confrontation to the shots fired. Thinking about Andre in those last moments is painful, especially knowing it was a situation he likely never anticipated being caught up in. I can't imagine the pain his loved ones are feeling right now. It's such a senseless loss over something that seems so avoidable. The mention of Stumph’s prior offenses makes me wonder about the systems in place for flagging individuals with histories of violence. Could something have been done earlier to prevent this tragedy? My heart goes out to Andre’s family and friends; I hope they find some semblance of peace as they seek justice for him.
