Hey everyone, I just wanted to draw attention to a part of Ronell Marte's case that deeply concerns me: the safety of Starlight Park. It's been haunting me that Ronell was shot there, especially since another young person lost their life in the same park just a few months earlier. How many more tragedies need to happen before something changes? It's absolutely crucial for community spaces to be safe for everyone. The fact that Ronell was just passing through after a long night at work and ended up being targeted is distressing. I know law enforcement has ramped up patrols, but I'm genuinely worried that it's not enough. As a community, we deserve to feel secure in our own neighborhoods and parks. My heart goes out to Ronell's family and friends during this unimaginable time. If anyone has any ideas on how we can push for more action or get better safety measures in place, please share.
