It’s so hard to wrap my head around the number of shell casings found at the scene where Alvis Jottanael Perez-Liriano was killed. Eighty-three? That’s an overwhelming number and shows just how chaotic and terrifying the situation must have been. My thoughts go out to his family and friends who have to reconcile not only with the loss but also with the sheer violence that took him from them. It’s really disturbing that something like this can happen in such a populated area. I hope the police are able to gather enough information to bring those responsible to justice. It's a grim reminder of how fragile life can be, and how important it is for the community to come together and support one another during such difficult times.
I was reading about Alvis Perez-Liriano and was struck by how much his community seems to care for him. The tributes I’ve seen show he was more than a victim of a senseless act—he was a beloved friend and family member. It's unsettling to think about how quickly life can change and how one moment you’re preparing to enjoy a weekend and the next, everything is upside down. From what’s shared, Alvis was in the wrong place at the wrong time, caught in a situation none of us ever want to face. It’s a reminder to cherish those we love and to advocate for safer communities so tragedies like this become less frequent. Does anyone else have thoughts on how the community can come together after a loss like this?
