Hey everyone, as I was reading about the tragic case of baby Jeffrey Trudeau Jr., one angle got me wondering: the role of the community around the family at the time. It's so distressing to think that with repeated abuse, there were no warning signs noticed by neighbors or others in their community. I mean, it's not to point fingers, but in cases like this, sometimes people notice things that seem off in hindsight. In those early 2000s, was there enough awareness about child abuse signs that might have been overlooked by those around them? It's chilling to imagine that such suffering could happen without anyone stepping in. I truly hope someone who saw or heard something will eventually have the courage to come forward. Thoughts and prayers to Jeffrey's family; they deserve answers and a sense of peace.
