I was thinking about how close-knit communities often are at these block parties and how devastating it must be to experience such violence at what should be a celebration. My heart goes out to Roshad Collier's family and friends, as they must be grappling with this unexpected tragedy. It’s also concerning that the other victim ended up being the suspect, Ryan Mosley. It makes me wonder whether this was a personal dispute gone horribly wrong or just a tragic escalation. Either way, the fact that it happened in such a public space with so many people around is really unsettling. Sending strength to everyone affected as they navigate the aftermath of this incident.
I keep thinking about the community's response to Roshad Collier's tragic death.
