Hey everyone,
I’ve been going down a rabbit hole about the unsolved double homicide of Terrance Clewies and Michelle Johnson in Oakland back in 2011. It's just so frustrating to see how cases like these remain unresolved for years. ?
I wanted to bring up something that might not get as much attention - the impact of these violent incidents on the surrounding community. I read that they were featured in a memorial video by Oakland Voices, and it made me think about the entire neighborhood at 62nd Avenue and Hilton Street. It must have been incredibly traumatic for people living nearby, especially knowing that their community is still grappling with so much violence.
Does anyone know if local initiatives have been set up since then to address safety or offer support to residents affected by such tragedies? It seems like communities often rally together after something like this, but I wonder what long-term efforts have been made, if any.
Hoping for justice and peace for the families of Terrance and Michelle. If anyone has new information or perspectives, please share. Let's keep the conversation going.
Stay safe,

I’ve been thinking about the safety in that area around 62nd Avenue and Hilton Street where Terrance Clewies and Michelle Johnson were tragically killed back in 2011. It’s eerie to think how such violence could happen in a spot where people should feel safe, especially inside their own vehicle. I can't even imagine what their families are still going through, not having answers after all this time. Seeing photos or videos dedicated to their memory, like the one from Oakland Voices, really shows the heavy toll violence takes on a community. It's so crucial for people to come forward if they know anything, no matter how small it seems. Staying silent only leaves us all vulnerable while keeping justice out of reach for Terrance, Michelle, and their loved ones.
