Has anyone else followed the case of Franchesca "Cheka" Alvarado from Philly? Her story is so haunting, especially given how devoted she was to her child and her future plans to study criminal justice. What really gets to me is the timeline - she goes missing in March 2012, and it takes until August 2013 for any part of her to be found. The fact they found her remains in Ocean City, NJ, is mind-boggling. It's hard not to feel frustrated knowing that even though there are suspicions, no charges have been filed against that man who was with her in Atlantic City. It’s a reminder of how these investigations can drag on. I really admire her family for staying strong and doing so much good in her name. Does anyone know if there have been any recent updates or have seen any new efforts from the police? Would love to discuss more with anyone who’s been keeping up.

Does anyone else find it odd that there was very little information released about the guy Franchesca went to Atlantic City with? I mean, the fact that he came back alone should've raised more red flags right from the start. There's this huge gap in the timeline from when she was last seen until the remains were found in 2013. It always bothered me how he just returned and acted as if nothing was amiss. Was he ever ruled out as a suspect, or is there still some ongoing investigation around him? I feel for her family, trying to piece together what happened during those critical days. Thoughts on why there hasn't been an arrest or more public pressure on this?

I came across Franchesca Alvarado's case again, and something that's been haunting me is the lack of answers regarding the older male acquaintance she went to Atlantic City with. It's so bizarre that he came back without her and yet hasn’t been charged or publicly named. Does anyone have any insights or theories about why the authorities might be so tight-lipped? It seems that if there was solid evidence or other witnesses, there could be more pressure to bring him in or at least question him more thoroughly. Could it be that they’re working on gathering more information, or is there a chance there are other leads we’re not aware of? It's frustrating to see her family work so hard for justice without clear answers about what happened to Franchesca. Would love to hear other thoughts on this aspect of the case.
