Does anyone know if William Leone had any connections to nearby businesses around the area where he was found? I've been thinking about how crimes involving robbery often have some link to a location the victim frequents. Maybe he was known to someone at one of those places, or perhaps he had been running errands or meeting someone there. It's such a long time ago, and with the investigation having stalled, it’s hard to know. Still, it makes me wonder if maybe revisiting some of those nearby spots might yield a fresh lead or jog someone’s memory. It’s frustrating how these things can remain unsolved for so long, and my heart goes out to his family. If anyone has insight into this angle, it could be worth revisiting in light of current techniques.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been diving deep into the William Leone case from '78, and something that stands out to me is how the community around Reno reacted back then. Has anyone come across personal accounts or old local news stories that talk about the neighborhood's mood and sense of security right after William's tragic death? It seems like a time when Reno hadn’t experienced much violent crime, and I can only imagine how unsettling this must have been.
It’s heartbreaking that this case is still unsolved after all these years. Maybe someone who was around at the time or has roots in the area might recall something useful, even if it seems small or unrelated. It’s these kinds of community memories or insights that might just help piece a puzzle together.
Would love to hear any memories or perspectives you all have. William and his loved ones deserve answers.
Stay safe out there,
