I’ve been following the Raishaun Mason case, and like many of you, I’m really hoping for any kind of breakthrough. Something that’s been on my mind is how silent witness or community tip programs might play a role here. Living in a neighborhood where trust in law enforcement can be shaky, it's tough to rely on folks coming forward with information, even anonymously.
From what we know, there's a person of interest, but without a public ID or motive, it feels like we’re at a standstill. I can’t imagine what Raishaun's family is going through, waiting for answers while trying to piece together their lives again. If anyone local knows how the community typically reacts in such situations, or if there’s been more outreach for tips, it’d be great to hear. Sharing any experience with how these cases usually progress could really help shed some light on what might be happening behind the scenes.

It breaks my heart thinking about Raishaun Mason's family, knowing they're navigating this tragedy with so many questions still unanswered. I read somewhere that his friends described him as having a big personality and always looking out for others. It’s hard to imagine the pain of losing someone so young, with so much potential and love around them.
I keep thinking about the tight-knit community at Bay Ridge Gardens and how eerie it must feel now. Knowing the police have identified a person of interest but still haven’t made an arrest, I hope they're able to piece everything together soon. People deserve to feel secure in their community, especially in a place that was home to someone like Raishaun.
I can’t help but wonder about the person of interest and why no details have been released. It could mean they’re trying to build a stronger case, but meanwhile, Raishaun's loved ones are left in limbo. Let's keep sharing any memories or info we have about that night, however small.
