I can't stop thinking about how traumatic this must be for Shari and Jason. Not only did Shari endure such a harrowing experience at the hands of her own son, but to lose him in such a violent way... it's unimaginable. I read that there's a history of conflict, and I just wonder how much pain they've all been through before it got to this point. It’s hard to fathom what drives a family member to attack those they should protect. I hope Shari and Jason have a strong support system around them as they navigate through this nightmare. It's clear they loved him, despite everything, and now they're in the position of defending themselves while grieving someone they cared deeply about. This should remind us all of the importance of mental health support and intervention before things spiral out of control.
