I've been following the case of Jessie Hilliard Jr. since that tragic Memorial Day shooting, and something that's been on my mind is the impact on his family and community. Jessie was only 19, standing at the edge of what should have been the start of his adult life. It's heartbreaking to think about all the milestones and moments that have been stolen from him and those who loved him. His family must be going through unbearable pain, and it makes me wish there was more we could do to support them during this time. Knowing that this crime is tied to a larger gang operation is both disturbing and infuriating. It's like Jessie's life, and that of Antwane Perkins, was torn apart by forces way beyond their control. I can't even begin to imagine what their families are enduring—not just mourning a loss, but doing so under the shadow of violence that continues to affect their community. My thoughts are with them, hoping for justice and some semblance of peace in the future.

I've been following the case of Jessie Hilliard Jr. and Antwane Perkins, and it's been particularly disturbing to hear about the involvement of such young individuals in such a violent crime. Just the thought of a 16-year-old being charged with these brutal acts is deeply unsettling. It's hard to imagine what Jessie's family must be going through knowing the potential suspect is so young. There's a lot of focus on "Operation White Noise," but let’s not forget these operations unfortunately also highlight the significant problem of youth getting swept up in gang activities and violent crime. Jessie and Antwane’s deaths remind us that the ripple effects of this violence cut through families and communities in unimaginable ways. I hope the ongoing investigation leads to justice for both victims and brings some form of closure to their loved ones. It’s important for communities to come together, support each other, and try to find ways to prevent such tragedies from occurring again. My thoughts are with Jessie's family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
