Just learned about the horrible tragedy involving the Sharieff family in Catonsville. I’ve been thinking a lot about Chantel’s decision to file for divorce earlier in August. It seems like she was desperately trying to make a change for herself and Kimana. The courage it must have taken to reach that point in her situation is unimaginable. It's gut-wrenching to think that despite taking such a brave step, she and her daughter were met with this terrible fate. I can’t even fathom what their friends and family are going through right now. The ripple effect of this senseless violence will be felt for a long time. If only there were more resources and support systems in place to help families in danger break free safely. I hope we can learn from situations like this and create better safeguards for those in need. My thoughts are with everyone grieving this unimaginable loss.
