I’ve been thinking a lot about the David Lee case, and something just doesn’t sit right with me. Given his age, 90 years old, and the fact that he moved from China to live in Duarte, it's hard to wrap my head around him taking his own life in this manner. I know we aren't privy to all the details, and suicide can happen at any age, but it just feels like there must have been some missed signs or cries for help. I have elderly relatives, and they often talk about feeling invisible or isolated. It makes me wonder if David had a support system or if the pressures of life just became too heavy. While the authorities have ruled it a suicide, I hope those who knew and loved him can find peace and maybe share memories of happier times. He sounds like someone who lived a long life filled with stories, and it’s important that’s not overshadowed by how it ended.
