Hey everyone, I can't help but think about the timing of the police presence at the block party where Martavius was tragically killed. They were already patrolling the area and got to the scene quite fast after hearing the gunfire. It's chilling to think that even a police presence wasn't enough to prevent such a senseless act. It makes me wonder if the chaos from the car crash added to the confusion or delayed a quicker response to the shooting itself. The whole situation must have been terrifying for everyone there, especially for those who knew Martavius. It’s so sad because it reminds us that sometimes even being in the wrong place at the wrong time can have dire consequences. Anyone have thoughts on how community events can be kept safer, or what might help witnesses feel secure enough to come forward? My heart goes out to Martavius’s family and friends during this incredibly tough time.
