I've been following the case of Nikita McGriff closely and can’t stop thinking about the role community tips played in resolving this tragedy. It’s a testament to how important public involvement is in these investigations. It must have been incredibly difficult for Mr. McGriff’s family and friends to wait in uncertainty while details emerged, but the community's engagement brought some momentum. I know it won't bring him back, but I hope this arrest can provide a sense of justice for his loved ones. It's also a reminder for all of us in Albany about the real impact of gun violence on our neighbors and community. My thoughts are with Mr. McGriff’s family as they navigate through this painful time. Let’s continue to support one another and work towards finding peace and safety for everyone in our city.
