Has anyone else noticed the strange circumstances around Tim's disappearance near Mab Island? I've been doing some research, and it seems that the waters in that area can be quite treacherous. I read about strong currents and unpredictable weather conditions, especially during the time of year when Tim went missing. Is it possible that something like this played a part in what happened to him? I can't shake the feeling that there might be more to this story, but perhaps it's just the environment that caught him off guard. I’m curious if anyone with local knowledge or sailing experience can weigh in on how these conditions might affect someone if they fell overboard.
I've been following the case of the person who fell overboard near Mab Island, and I can't stop thinking about the specific challenges of searching in those waters. If anyone here has any experience with search and rescue operations in that area north of Juneau, could you share what makes it particularly difficult? I've read that the tides and currents can be unpredictable, but I'm curious if there's more to it. Maybe something about the underwater terrain or visibility? Just trying to get a real sense of what the search teams are up against.
