I came across the news about Cody Bush's case and couldn't help but feel deeply saddened by the loss his family and friends must endure. I understand Cody and Justin Ray Shumway knew each other, which must add another layer of pain for those affected by this tragedy. It's so difficult to process that someone you know could be involved in such a thing.
I've been thinking about the location where Cody was found. NW Holman Street is typically a quiet neighborhood, and it just seems so shocking that something like this could unfold in someone's backyard. It's a reminder that violence can erupt anywhere, anytime. I hope the community can come together to support the Bush family during this incredibly difficult time and also take steps to prevent further violence.
If anyone has insights on what kind of relationship Cody and Shumway had, or if there were any prior issues between them, it would be helpful to understand how things escalated to this point. Sending strength and condolences to everyone impacted.
