Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the case of David Doyle Frasier – you know, the 64-year-old man from Frederick, Maryland, who went missing back in July 2012. Something that's been bothering me is the location he was last seen. It was around the Claysburg exit on Interstate 99, and I’m curious about why no one found any clues near there.
The area might seem pretty vast and rural, especially for someone unfamiliar and on foot, but you’d think there would have been something left behind or seen by someone else after he vanished. Was there ever any mention of a search beyond the immediate area where his car ran out of gas? I’m thinking maybe he could have gotten disoriented with his condition and wandered off in a direction searchers didn't initially consider.
With the timeframe being more than a decade now, does anyone know if local volunteer groups or hikers ever spotted anything unusual over the years? It always amazes me how cases with so much initial attention can just go cold...
Hey everyone, I'm really puzzled about David Doyle Frasier's case. One aspect that's been on my mind is the fact that he left his cell phone at home the day he went missing. Considering he was dealing with early-onset Alzheimer's, it's just baffling. I wonder if leaving his phone behind was intentional or if it was just due to the confusion from the disease. It makes you think about how a little device like that could've changed the outcome or at least helped in tracking his movements after he left the highway. If only he had it with him, maybe we’d have more clues. Does anyone know if there was any reasoning provided by family or the investigators about why he didn't take it? Or has this been looked into with other similar cases involving missing persons with memory impairments? Any insights would be helpful as I continue to follow this case.
Has anyone dug into the weather reports from July 2012 in the Claysburg area? I’m curious if any bad weather conditions might have affected David's ability to navigate the area after he was last spotted. Weather could have played a role in disorienting him or reducing visibility, especially since he didn't have his medication. If it was particularly hot or there were sudden storms, it might help explain why he was never found. It’s just another piece of the puzzle, but I feel like everything should be considered in trying to figure out what might have happened to him. Anyone have insight into this? Would love to hear more thoughts!
