I've been thinking about the neighborhood where the tragic events occurred and how it must feel for the people living there. River Oaks seemed like such a peaceful area, so waking up to police lights and the chaos of that morning had to be really disturbing. It's unsettling to think that such violence erupted in a place that many probably regarded as safe. I hope the community can find some healing as more details emerge and justice is pursued for Myrah. The impact on her family must be unimaginable, and it's sad to think of the ripple effect this crime has on everyone throughout her community. Let's hope anyone who might still be withholding information finds it in their heart to step forward. Myrah—and those who loved her—deserve that much.
