Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the community response to the awful tragedy involving Deneal P. Maxey. It's absolutely devastating for his family and neighbors, and it got me reflecting on the lack of safety and security in the area. What really strikes me is how it's not just a family struck by grief, but an entire neighborhood that's left reeling from the effects of this senseless violence. Seeing the memorials and reading the heartfelt messages posted in honor of Deneal really brings to light the impact he had on those around him. It's important we continue supporting the efforts, like the family fundraiser that was set up to help with his funeral expenses. It’s a reminder of how communities can and do come together in these darkest times to show love and solidarity. I hope justice will follow and that the perpetrators are brought to account.
