Does anyone else find it significant that James Chatman lived on the West Side but was killed in East Garfield Park? I know Chicago's neighborhoods can be very interconnected, but I'm wondering if there might be something more here. Did James have friends or family in the area where he was shot? Or was there something specific that brought him to Polk Street that morning? It makes me so sad to think that he was possibly just going about his day and ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope his family and friends are finding some comfort amid all these questions. I truly hope justice will be served, but it's always so devastating how often these violent acts happen in broad daylight.
