Has anyone noticed how often we overlook the impact these cases have on the children involved? I've been following the tragic case of Crystal Gonzalez, and my heart goes out to her two young kids. It's unimaginable to think about what they must be feeling now. Left in a home, unaware, and then suddenly thrust into a world where they've lost their mother in such a violent way. I can't stop thinking about what kind of support systems are (or aren't) in place for them now. Are friends or family stepping in, or are they caught up in the system? It's crucial that they receive love and stability during this time, not only for their immediate well-being but for their future. Trauma can have such a lasting impact, and these little ones have already gone through so much. Anyone here with experience in child advocacy or who've seen similar cases? What kind of resources or steps do you think should be prioritized right now? I hope there's a way for people in the community to come together and provide some sort of comfort or assistance to them.
