I've been following Eryk Richards' case for a while now, and there's one detail that keeps bugging me. Why was his kayak found upside-down? It seems strange to me since Eryk was an experienced kayaker and would have known how to handle the water conditions. Plus, a fisherman saw him earlier that day and he seemed fine. Is it possible something happened between then and when his kayak was discovered? Could there have been foul play, or maybe a sudden medical issue? It just doesn't sit right that someone so familiar with the Gulf would end up in such a situation. I'm curious to hear what others think—or if anyone local has more insight into the weather conditions that day.

Hey everyone, I came across the case of Eryk Krystyphyr Richards, and something's been gnawing at me. I'm curious about the condition of his kayak when it was found. Was it damaged or in good condition? It might give clues about what happened. If it was just floating upside down without any signs of damage, could it have been a freak accident, or did something else cause him to end up in the water? The Gulf can be unpredictable, but it would be interesting to know more about the state of his gear to better understand how things might have unfolded that day. Has anyone heard anything about this or have thoughts on what might have happened?

I've been thinking about the last sighting of Eryk Krystyphyr Richards, and it's got me wondering about that encounter with the fisherman. Was it really as straightforward as it seems? I mean, Eryk declined help, which on the surface, looks like he was okay at that moment. But what was the weather like that day? Was the sea rough, or was it calm? Could it have been one of those classic Gulf weather changes where everything seems fine until a sudden storm rolls in? For anyone familiar with kayaking, how common is it for someone experienced—not that we know for sure about Eryk's skill level—to capsize in those waters, especially near Grand Isle? Would love to hear thoughts from local folks or those with kayaking experience in that area.
