I can't stop thinking about how truly terrifying that ambush must have been for those firefighters. Imagining responding to what you think is a routine brush fire, something Frank Harwood and John Morrison had likely done countless times before, only to find yourselves in the middle of a nightmare... it's unfathomable. Frank had dedicated nearly two decades of his life to protecting others, both in the Army National Guard and as a Battalion Chief. His bravery and commitment to service were his legacy, and yet, in that moment, he was forced into an unimaginable situation. My heart goes out to his family and all those who knew him. The community lost a true hero, and it's hard to make sense of such a senseless act of violence. How do we prevent this from happening again?
