I can't get over the chaos that must have unfolded at that block party. I've been to neighborhood events like that, and it's hard to imagine the shock and terror that everyone went through when shots rang out. It's just so senseless. My heart goes out to the families of Steven, Gemar, and Tina. They were just out to enjoy the day like everyone else, and now their families are left with this irreparable loss. With that many people around, you’d think someone might have noticed something - a suspicious person or a vehicle speeding away. I hope those who know something find the courage to come forward. Silence only serves those guilty of this horror. Let's hope justice finds its way to those who need it. The more attention we bring to this case, the better chance there is for answers. Stay safe, everyone.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the block party shooting on Frederick Avenue back in 2006, and something's been weighing heavy on my mind. Among the victims who tragically lost their lives, Steven Beck’s death seems particularly difficult to process. Knowing that he died right there on the sidewalk, in the midst of what should have been a joyful event, feels unbearably tragic. I can't help but think about his family and how they must feel every time they pass by that street. It's hard to fathom that such an act of violence could happen at a community gathering, a place meant to bring neighbors together in celebration. Every year when June rolls around, I wonder if there’ll ever be a resolution for the victims' families and friends. It’s frustrating that the suspects have not been identified after all this time. If anyone has any information or memories that could shed light on this case, even if it feels insignificant, it might just make a difference. Please consider reaching out to the LVMPD. My thoughts go out to all those affected by this tragedy. Never lose hope for justice. Stay safe, everyone.
