Has anyone else looked into this mysterious man in the gray pickup truck that was seen near Carol Ann Batterman before she disappeared? It's curious to me that he seemed to have just vanished along with Carol. Given the description of his clothing and the make of the truck, he might have been a local. I've read that in small towns during the late 1950s, someone dressed in khaki with a straw hat wouldn’t necessarily stand out, but the combination with a specific truck model might make him more identifiable. Has there ever been any follow-up with people who might have recognized the truck or the man? It feels like such a key piece of the puzzle that might have been overlooked or just wasn't given the attention it needed at the time. Thoughts?
