Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Dyllian Pressy, and something that really struck me is the lack of coverage about the safety concerns in that area. It's clear this was a gang-related act, at least according to what the detectives have said, but what’s being done to make the neighborhoods around Century Boulevard and Main Street safer for everyone? I can't help but think about how Dyllian and the other victim probably felt just walking down the street, unaware of what was about to happen. It shouldn’t be like this—I mean, imagine living in constant fear every day. It's just awful to think this isn’t the first time something like this has happened in that area, and it likely won’t be the last unless some changes are made. Anyone else from that area have any thoughts on whether community programs or local policing efforts are actually making a difference? Or is it the same dangerous cycle over and over again? My heart goes out to Dyllian’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Stay safe out there, everyone.
