Stockton isn’t a small town, but it’s not so large that people like Pete and James wouldn’t have crossed paths at some point. There's something profoundly tragic in how these looming questions—"Did they know each other?" or "Was this a personal dispute?"—often remain mysteries. It’s gut-wrenching, wondering whether Pete’s family is grappling with these same unanswered questions. I hope the investigators can dig deeper into the backgrounds of both men to provide some clarity. It might not ease the pain, but having answers can bring a semblance of understanding, if not peace, to those left behind. My heart goes out to everyone affected and hoping the truth surfaces soon.
