I’m curious if anyone has looked into the weather conditions on the morning Martin Franzel vanished. Considering he used a cane and walked with a limp, any adverse conditions like rain or fog could’ve posed extra challenges during his walk. Was there any mention of the weather in the reports? It might not seem like much, but if the conditions were tough, it could potentially point to him having an accident. With the lack of any personal items or evidence found, it's puzzling. Also, I wonder if anyone checked local hospitals at that time for unidentified patients who might've matched his description. Just some thoughts.

Hey everyone, I've been digging into the Martin Franzel case from 1963, and something that's really got me thinking is the fact that he was spotted near 66th Street and Nicollet Avenue by a relative, but that seems to be our last confirmed sighting. It’s strange that there were no other witnesses who saw him along the way, especially at such an early hour. It seems like such a busy area, even back then, so surely someone else had to notice an elderly man with a cane walking through. I'm curious if anyone here has theories on why the sightings stop there. Did he maybe sit somewhere to rest and something happened, or did the trail just get cold for another reason? Has anyone heard if maybe other potential witnesses were ever sought out back in the day? It just seems odd that there wasn't more of a trace considering he was wearing pretty distinctive clothing for that time. Thoughts?
