I've been following Brittney Alise Henderson’s case, and one thing that really strikes me is how senseless and sudden the whole incident seems. I didn't know her personally, but hearing that she was just sitting on her porch, in what should have been a safe space, when this terrible act of violence happened is so unsettling. I feel so much for her family right now; they must be going through unimaginable pain. What I can't wrap my head around is Vincent Phillips’ motive, or apparent lack thereof. Neighbors mentioned they didn’t know each other beyond living nearby, which makes this all the more confusing. It’s just hard to comprehend how someone could commit such an act without any evident reason. I really hope the investigators can shed some light on this. Maybe there's more to their interaction? Or just a random act of violence? I don't want to speculate too much, but knowing the why might help bring a little closure for those grieving Brittney. It's just so heavy to think about how life can change in an instant, and it makes you hug your loved ones a little tighter.
