I recently stumbled upon the Terry Lee Rogers case from 1973, and one thing that's got me thinking is the location where he vanished. This area near Bend, Oregon, is known for some pretty rugged terrain. Given that Terry was quite the skilled outdoorsman, it seems odd that he would've run into trouble so close to a campsite he'd been using and familiar with.
Also, the truck parked above the bluff really gets me – groceries left inside? It makes me wonder if he planned to come back in a hurry. Could he have left for a quick trek or run into someone unexpectedly? The fact that searches by foot, horseback, and even helicopter didn’t yield anything significant just baffles me.
Anyone else think there might be more to the story with the location and the logistics of where his belongings were found?
Just when you think you've heard every theory about Terry Lee Rogers' disappearance, another angle hits you. One detail that's always puzzled me is the bag of groceries found in his truck. Does anyone else find this odd? An experienced outdoorsman like Rogers would typically plan out his meals when heading into the wilderness, especially over a long weekend. Why would he leave fresh supplies untouched? Could there have been a sudden change of plans? Maybe he was distracted and intended to return shortly? Food for thought, literally and figuratively. It feels like a small element of the case that hasn’t been scrutinized enough. Thoughts, anyone?
Does anyone find it odd that Terry Rogers left behind not just his wallet but also his glasses at the campsite? As someone who needs glasses myself, I can’t imagine going far without them, especially for an experienced outdoorsman like him. It's not like leaving behind just any piece of equipment; glasses are essential. Could he have gone for a quick walk and something unexpected happened? Maybe he wasn’t planning to be gone long enough to need them. Also, that unopened bag of groceries in his truck seems strange, doesn't it? It really messes with the idea of him planning to be away for an extended period of time. Thoughts? Could he have met someone along the way unexpectedly?
