I've been following the Hart family tragedy, and I can't stop thinking about the courage Devonte must have had to approach those neighbors for food. It's absolutely gut-wrenching to know what these children went through. Devonte's plea for bread or fruit shows how desperate the situation had become, yet he still had hope that someone might help. It's devastating that the system wasn’t able to intervene in time despite the warning signs. I hope this case serves as a lesson and a wake-up call to prioritize the voices of vulnerable children like Devonte so that no child has to suffer in silence. My thoughts are with the friends and family of the Hart children as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
