I'm still trying to process the senseless tragedy that occurred at the Waukesha holiday parade, and my heart goes out to all the victims and their families, especially to Wilhelm Hospel and his loved ones. The aspect that really sticks with me is how Wilhelm was described as so active and community-oriented, even at 81. It's such a stark reminder of the kind of spirit and generosity that was lost that day.
I can't help but think about how he was there to support the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies, who clearly meant so much to him. His dedication to helping out, just passing out water, shows what a kind soul he was. It's chilling to imagine how quickly everything changed.
While it sounds like the suspect was fleeing a domestic dispute, it's hard to comprehend how this resulted in such a catastrophic event, robbing the community of someone who was such a force for good. My thoughts are with his wife and family as they navigate this devastating loss. Also, remembering all those injured and the others who lost their lives; it’s just a terrible turn of events.
