Has anyone else been thinking about the impact this terrible crime has had on the Anaconda community? It’s so upsetting to think of how a place like the Owl Bar, which used to be such a beloved local spot, is now linked to such a tragedy. David Allen Leach was a well-known figure, not only because of his older sports days but also because of how he touched the lives of so many around him. I read that his classmates remembered him as a really good guy—always friendly and a solid teammate. It's a small town and everyone either knew someone directly affected or had visited the Owl Bar themselves. The fact that someone like Michael Paul Brown could betray the trust of the people he knew only adds to the grief everyone is feeling. I can't even begin to imagine how the families and friends of David and the other victims are coping with this. My heart goes out to them as they navigate through this unimaginable time. Hopefully, the community can find some solace and healing in each other through all of this.
