I still find it gut-wrenching when I think about the Capitol Hill massacre and the lives it took. Justin “Sushi” Schwartz was a ray of light in the rave scene, known for his kindness and vibrant spirit. As someone who's been in the rave community for years, I remember hearing about his infectious positivity and how he was always the first to extend a hug. It’s truly devastating to know how many lives were touched by his warmth and how abruptly his presence was stolen from us.
In discussing this tragedy, it’s crucial to remember and honor the people who were lost and focus on the joys they brought to those around them. Sushi’s legacy lives on in the stories and memories shared by friends. I hope we can continue to celebrate his life and the positive energy he contributed, even in the wake of such unimaginable violence. Sending strength and love to his family and those affected.
I was just thinking about Justin "Sushi" Schwartz and how his presence must still be missed by so many. I didn't know him personally, but from everything I've read, he seemed like such a vibrant and positive force within the rave scene, and it's so tragic that he was taken in such a senseless act of violence.
