I still can't wrap my head around the fact that this happened at a place meant to bring joy—a family fun center, no less. Jamie and Deborah seemed like they were genuinely trying to make a positive impact on their community by opening the Puppy Creek Family Fun Center. It's utterly tragic that their dream was shattered in such an unfathomable way. I think about how Mary Ann's life changed forever that night, too. Being present during the attack and how drastically her life altered in that instant is just unimaginable. My heart goes out to her. If anyone has updates on her current condition or any efforts being made to support and rally around her after such a profound loss, I'd be really interested to know. Community healing takes time, and I'm hoping to hear that she's surrounded by people who really care.
