I’ve been thinking about the Moe family lately and their role during the tragic Fairchild Air Force Base shooting. It's horrible to imagine what they went through, especially knowing they were there to babysit sweet Christine McCaren that day. On top of that, four members of their family got wounded. I can’t help but feel for them, grappling with their own injuries while knowing they were among the last people to see Christine. It’s haunting to think that a day meant for care and support ended up so terribly. Their presence that day undoubtedly saved more lives, as multiple witnesses said they tried to shield others during the chaos. Just reflects how in times of crisis, some folks’ immediate instinct is to protect others, even when they’re in danger themselves. My heart really goes out to all involved in such trying times.
