I’ve been following the case of Lottie Mae Thompson and can’t stop thinking about the impact on her kids. Losing a mother is unimaginable, especially in such a violent way. I hope they have a strong support system around them now. Also, this makes me wonder about the system that allowed Nicholas Wiley back into the community despite his violent history. It’s terrifying to think of what might have been prevented with more stringent parole measures. Sending all my love to Lottie’s family and friends. Has anyone heard of any changes or reforms happening in response to cases like this one? It feels like we need to do more to protect innocent lives.
