Hey everyone,
I've been following the Edwards family case for some time, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy must have had on their community back in 1989. Losing Annette, Bernette, and their mom, Bonita, in such a horrific way is beyond comprehension. I read some accounts from neighbors and friends who described the Edwardses as a close-knit, loving family. It’s just so upsetting to think about how their lives were cut short over something as senseless as drug-related violence.
One thing that sticks out to me is how the community rallied together after the murders. From what I've gathered, local churches and support groups organized vigils and community meetings to honor the memory of the Edwards family and to push for safer neighborhoods. It’s heartening to see people coming together in the face of such cruelty, emphasizing the strength and resilience of those affected.
Have any of you read or heard about the community's response back then? I’d love to know more about how folks in Houston navigated through this tough time and what lasting changes, if any, came from it. It’s small acts of unity and remembrance that can sometimes lead to meaningful change.
Sending love to anyone who knew the Edwards family or was touched by this case.
