Just revisiting this tragic case, and something that always haunts me is the fact that Boontem's fiancé’s young son was the one to find her. I can't even begin to comprehend the trauma he must have experienced. It’s tough enough for adults to process such violence, but for a child to stumble upon something so horrific... it’s unimaginable. I wonder if he received counseling or what kind of support system he had afterward. My heart goes out to him, Boontem's children, and everyone affected by this senseless act. It’s been decades, but hopefully, advances in DNA technology can bring some closure to her family someday.
