I came across the case of Billy A. King Sr. and it leaves me with so many feelings, especially for his family who must have struggled without answers for so many years. When the confession by David R. Waters finally came out, nearly two decades after the crime, it must have been a strange mix of relief and frustration for them. Knowing who did it but seeing no new charges filed due to Waters's terminal illness must have been tough. I think about the lasting impact on Billy's loved ones, and how they had to reconcile the fact that justice, at least in the traditional sense, wouldn't be served. How do you folks feel about cases where confessions come too late for justice to be fully carried out? Do you think it offers any real closure? My heart truly goes out to the King family after all those years of uncertainty.
