I've been researching the tragic case of Della Brown, and something that really haunts me is how often women like her seem to slip through the cracks of society. We often hear about these cases when they explode onto the news, but how many go unnoticed until it's too late? Della was found in a truly horrifying state in that shed, yet weeks prior, it appears she was battling issues that left her vulnerable. It's so disturbing to know that Joshua Wade bragged about what he did, treating her death like some sort of sick trophy. It raises questions about what's being done to protect vulnerable women in our communities and what changes have been made since to prevent such a tragedy from happening again. My thoughts are always with Della’s family—they've had to live with this pain, knowing what their loved one went through. What are your thoughts on how society can better support at-risk individuals like Della before they become victims of such brutal acts?
